Jun 2, 2015 · First thing to do is replace the vacuum hose to and from the EGR vacuum controller which sadly on a 2007 M57N2 hides under the inlet manifold although you should be able to reach without removing it. This solenoid lowers the combustion temperature, preventing heat damage to the engine block, head gasket , cylinder, and pistons . Rough idle. Peel back vapor barrier. Wanted to share to make it easy for anyone who wants to tackle the job of removing EGR Valve for cleaning.
